News: Official Presentation of La Cala Resort Junior Masters

Last Saturday the official presentation for the 6th La Cala Resort Junior Masters took place. This championship is to be played on Campo Asia at La Cala Resort (Málaga, Costa del Sol) on the 3rd and 4th of this month. The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Benalmádena, Enrique Moya, who expressed his gratitude that the organisers had chosen the Sunset Beach Club at Benalmádena for the presentation.

Guest of honour at the presentation was Pablo Martín Benavides, recent winner of the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, who formed part of the Andalusian team who were declared winners of La Cala Resort Junior Master in 2004. During the presentation Pablo was awarded as the “Player of the Year – La Cala Resort Junior Master”.

Jose Navas, Leisure Manager at La Cala Resort , emphasized the prestige and popularity associated with this championship which previously has seen players such as Alvaro Quiros, Azahara Muñoz, Jorge Campillo, Anna Arese, Pedro Oriol and Belén Mozo between others. There is no doubt it will continue to grow every year with new stars, some of whom will surely be found participating in this year´s championship.
