News: laCala&You Christmas Open Competition

Over 50 golfers took part in the laCala&You Open, held in La Cala Resort, Mijas, Malaga the past 18th of December. Played in beautiful, sunny weather on Campo Asia, the competition is one of a series held every year for cardholders of the resort’s affinity programme.

The participants

The general reaction of the competitors was extremely positive, not only to the competition format and organisation, but also to the concept of the club card having the opportunity to meet and develop friendships that can be renewed on an annual basis at subsequent events. The event was divided into two handicap categories and the two winners were Gómez Berrocal, Francisco and Jose Antonio Muñoz López, both classified for the national final of World Golfers Championship 2012.

There are now over 2800 cardholders of laCala&You scheme that was launched in May of 2007. In total, 22 countries are represented. The scheme offers a range of discounts on the resort’s facilities, including green fee offers, vouchers for complimentary buggies and special competitions. The next laCala&You competition, takes place on February.
