.Caracala Spa - Frequently asked questions
Where is Caracala Spa located?
Inside the luxury Hotel La Cala. Hotel guests are invited to take the spa elevator, whereas our day spa guests and members can access the spa directly from the parking area via the nearby staircase.
How do I book?
Reservations can be made by contacting on the telephone: (+34) 952 66 90 10 or email: spa@lacala.com
I am not sure which is the best treatment for me. Can you help?
Of course, just contact spa reception and we will be pleased to help you choose the ideal treatment programme for you.
What if I have specific health concerns?
It is important that you tell us about any particular concerns or health conditions (such as high blood pressure, allergies, injuries or disabilities) when you book. If you experience any discomfort during the treatment, please let your therapist know straight away.
When should I arrive?
To get the most out of your spa visit, we recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before your appointment. That way you will have time to relax beforehand. All treatments start punctually at the scheduled time. If you are late, there will simply be less time available for your treatment, thus reducing your enjoyment and its effectiveness. There will be no reduction in treatment charges due to late arrival.
What should I wear?
There are ample changing facilities at the spa, so you can arrive wearing your normal clothes. However, if you are a hotel guest you may prefer to visit the Spa in your robe. Please note that swimsuits must be worn in all public areas, such as the unisex sauna, steam rooms, hydropools and exercise pool.
If you are using the pool, Thermal Circuit/Spa Experience or having a body treatment, robes, slippers, shower cap and towels are provided for your comfort. During the treatment your body will be covered with the exception of the area being worked on, but please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable for you.
Is there anywhere to leave my valuables?
Whilst lockers are available at the Spa for your personal belongings, we recommend that you leave jewellery and valuables at home, or in the safety deposit box in your guest room.
What if I feel uncomfortable?
We want you to enjoy your time at Caracala Spa to the full. If there is anything we can do to enhance your comfort (whether it is adjusting the volume of the music, the massage pressure, the temperature or anything else) please let us know. We would ask that mobile phones and pagers be turned off in the spa.
Should I shave before the treatment?
For maximum benefit, we suggest that men shave two hours or more before having a facial treatment, although it is not essential. Shaving is not recommended less than two hours before a facial or prior to any body treatments or hair removal services.
What is the minimum age?
Although the minimum age is normally 16 years, we are happy to provide advice regarding suitable treatments for teens. The indoor exercise pool and the Thermal Circuit/Spa Experience areas are open to children between 12 & 15 years of age only when each child is individually accompanied by an adult & from 12:00 to 15:00 hrs. Standard charges and conditions apply in all cases.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full service fee. A credit card number is required at the time you book your treatments.
How can I pay for Spa services?
We accept all major credit cards and cash. If you are staying at La Cala Hotel you may also charge spa services to your room account.
Should I leave a tip?
If you were pleased with the services you received, please feel free to leave a gratuity, which will be distributed to the member of staff who attended you during your visit.
