WGC The Re-match - 1st round

The first round of the competition was played over Campo Europa. Leaders after the first round were “Europe” on 301 strokes, followed by Spain with 303 strokes and Germany with 321 strokes. Russia and Switzerland took 4th and 5th positions respectively. The best individual score was by Igor Frolov, with a fantastic net 64 playing off 29 handicap.

The day’s golf was followed by lunch and an excursion to Mijas Pueblo, where the participants could enjoy the white village, its donkey taxi, the miniature museum, the old town hall, the bullfight arena, the wine museum and the excellent views from the Mirador.
