First round of the Spanish final of World Golfers Championship

134 players from all regions of Spain teed off this morning for the 1st round of the national final of World Golfers Championship at La Cala Resort.

The format of this competition, played over 36 holes, is similiar to a professional tournament, where it will be decided who will be the five players to represent Spain at the world final in South Africa later this year.

After this morning´s first round, the leaders are following:

At 09:30 hrs, tomorrow Sunday, the 2nd and final round will start. Prize-giving and presentation of Spanish team is to take place at the Clubhouse terrrace at La Cala Resort at 15:30 hrs.
