The Spanish Team arrives in South Africa

Firstly I would like to say that it is an honour and a pleasure to lead the Spanish team as Team Captain this year to the Finals of the World Golfers Championship in South Africa.

Well the whole team and accompanying friends and family all arrived on time at Malaga airport to be met by a very long queue, thankfully an Iberian official and good friend of our group checked us in via business and thankfully we left on schedule and headed for our first destination, Paris.

A 10 hour wait until our next connecting flight at Paris’s Charles De Gaulle airport meant we al had time to visit the centre of Paris take in a few of its most famous sights including the ever splendid Eiffel tower.

We eventually took the 23.50 hrs flight out of Paris, heading for Johannesburg on the worlds largest passenger airplane, the airbus A380 with Air France.

After and 11 hour flight in excellent weather conditions we arrived safely in Johannesburg, there where a few weary eyes as we waited for the next flight to Durban.

We finally arrives safely at the impressive Zimbali Resort around 20.00 hrs on Saturday evening and as we wearily make our way to our rooms we do so to the sound of the waves of the Indian Ocean breaking along the beach front, not to mention tropical birds and the local monkey population.
