The Diary of Gabriel

We have now finished our second day of competition and although we still have not played our best golf, we have managed to climb up the table and are now in 7th position.
Regarding the people in South Africa, they are very hospitable, where ever we go they always out put themselves out to be helpful and friendly.
The Spanish team are great. This evening we where all taken to see a show organised by the World Golfers Championship which included a dolphin show at the King Shaka Marina in Durban, we where also received by the Tourism Minister, Mr Michael Mabuyakhulu, who gave his support to the competition.
Changing the subject, here are a couple of curiosities:
1. Day break here starts at 05.00 am, life starts around 2 hours later in Spain.
2. The most dangerous animals you come across on the golf courses are not snakes but the monkeys who, if you are not careful, will run onto your buggy stealing sandwiches, fruit and other food. Amazing
This trip to South Africa is proving to be an unforgettable one.
