At La Cala we’ve so much to offer to sports and fitness lovers, plus acres of gorgeous outdoor space to explore. Three New Padel Courts, a floodlit hard tennis court, squash court, a fitness centre and a gymnasium are all right here at the resort. You could start your day with a Pilates class, or a Group Padel class led by our expert fitness instructors.


La Cala Resort offers you superb outdoor & indoor racquet sports facilities. Our wonderful climate and the recently inaugurated three padel courts let you play matches all year around, day or night.

At La Cala Resort, we aim to provide racquet sports for everyone. Adult and junior padel or tennis players will find coaching programmes tailored to their needs and level. With our weekly tennis tournaments and friendly matches, we make it easy to meet fellow players and feel part of the friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Beginners and experienced players alike will find their perfect tennis holiday at La Cala.

Functional Training
Exercises which involves training the body for activities done in your day by day, focusing into different groups of muscles at the same time.

A body‐conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. There are three different types of Pilates we are offering: postural alignment, with swizz ball and resistance bands.

Variety of exercises of Pilates done in a mat isolating the back, focusing the work into abs, legs and arms.

Based on the Yoga, the exercises are made by repetitions or in isometric, with the basics of Pilates.

Combining pilates, stretching, breathing and joints mobility to improve the range of mobility of these and leave body and mind relaxed.

Body toning/Total body conditioning
Working overall strengthening and toning the body, allowing the body fat loss through different types of exercises.

Physical exercises working out a specific muscle or tendon to flex or stretch them in order to improve the muscle’s felt elasticity and achieve comfortable muscle tone.

Stretching + Chi Kung
Mixing stretching with Chi Kung (Qi Gong), part of the chinese medicine that consists in different movements and positions that are made to focus and link your breathing to the movement, producing a state of calm in the whole body after the stretch.

G.A.P (gluteus, abdomen & legs)
A set of exercises to strengthen and tone these three areas of the body, which are often the brunt of our body by a sedentary lifestyle and decreased body fat.

Indoor cycling
Indoor cycling, as an organized activity, is a form of exercise with classes focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity and recovery, and involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting focusing the workout into the rythm of the music.

Health and fitness are complementary concepts, so where better than our Fitness Centre or indoor swimming pool at La Cala Spa to complement your Spa & Wellness programme with a little exercise?

Our gymnasium at the Clubhouse is comprehensively equipped to include static bikes, cardio machines, a wide range of strength machines and free weights.



La Cala’s training facility is situated within the grounds of La Cala Resort which is located 20 minutes east of Marbella and only 30 minutes from Malaga Airport.
Malaga Airport is well served by all major airlines and from all major and peripheral cities in Europe making La Cala Resort a very accessible training destination as well as one of the most highly regarded hotels on the Costa del Sol.

The football pitch is only available for those teams staying in our hotel under a full football package. Every football team booked in the hotel (one team at a time) will have full and uninterrupted use of our training facilities.

The Pitch
The exceptional facilities at La Cala Resort enable teams to train, work and relax in a private and select environment. The Pitch is exclusively aimed at professional sporting teams and is conducive with FIFA international professional standards. Located in a sheltered, fully enclosed section of La Cala Resort ensures both excellent pitch conditions and privacy.
