If you have visited our Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant, then you may have been welcomed by our waiter Ruben Vega Marin, a member of our La Cala team since 2016. He is the “face” of our Clubhouse after our morning opening, and greets you with a smile to serve your coffee and breakfast.
Many guests refer to Ruben as one of their “favourites,” as his passion for his job is evident. Following his studies in Andalusia, he spent a year working as a waiter in Plymouth (UK), where he acquired an excellent foundation of the English language and the hospitality sector.
He is proud to work at La Cala, especially in our newly enhanced Clubhouse where he serves many guests and golfers each day. When asked about his favourite new Clubhouse dishes, Ruben responds “there are so many, but it’s the “Andalusian Style Calamari” followed by the “Grilled Irish Angus Beef Sirloin.” He adds, “I really enjoy greeting and accommodating all of our guests in the best way possible at La Cala.”
