La Cala Spa stimulates the senses to the rhythm of jazz with special cuisine to celebrate the resort’s 30th anniversary

La Cala Spa will celebrate its first Jazz Night on the 4th of May at which time attendees will enjoy live jazz, a thermal candlelit circuit and enjoy delicious tapas created by the award-winning chef, Daniel García Peinado.

Coinciding with La Cala Resort’s 30th anniversary, the Health and Beauty Centre, La Cala Spa, is preparing a tribute for this special event. ‘It’s about doing something different and on a slightly different timetable for our centre—the event will take place between 20:00 and 22:00’, states Pablo Sotoca, director of La Cala Spa.

On the 4th of May the exclusive thermal circuit inspired by the cultures and civilisations that have inhabited Andalusia will be illuminated with candles, offering a magical environment intensifying the experience of aromatic hammams, contrast bath, climate-controlled swimming pool with Jacuzzi and the relaxation room.

La Cala Resort opened its doors in 1989 and since then, its Spa has become the highlight of health and wellness on the Costa del Sol for local residents and tourists alike. ‘We have constructed a special programme of jazz and spa to create an atmosphere that fosters memorable moments of relaxation and happiness. Live jazz music will stimulate the senses and emotions of those in attendance and intensify their enjoyment of the circuit in general’ explains Sotoca.

Likewise, La Cala Resort’s chef, Daniel García Peinado, has designed a very cosmopolitan tapas menu for the occasion. ‘Our chef has been inspired by different cultures—from Andalusia and its gazpacho with shrimp and oxtail croquettes to options that incorporate a touch of the Hindu culture thanks to his curry mayonnaise,’ states Pablo Sotoca, ‘passing by Spain with our Spanish omelette, approaching Italy with its pesto and parmesan focaccia and beef and mushroom risotto, to China and its dim sum varieties with soy and sesame sauce, Japan with its incomparable tataki and traditional ponzu sauce. Overall, little tapas with a grand taste’ concludes the director of La Cala Spa.

This is, without a doubt, a unique and exceptional event that combines the rhythm of jazz music, wellness and exquisite cuisine. In fact, the director confirms that many requests and reservations have already been made. Places are limited to 50 participants and the price starts at 45 euros per person. More info & Bookings.
