The British real estate developer, Taylor Wimpey, and the Cala Golf Resort consolidate their joint venture, which was established one year ago, with new projects

In January, 2016 they will be developing a new residential complex of 55 town houses named horizon golf. This new project will involve a direct investment of more than 12 million euros.

The company, Taylor Wimpey in Spain, affiliated to the British Real Estate Developer, Taylor Wimpey PLC, a company listed in the FTSE 100 of the London stock market, and La Cala Resort, the prestigious leisure resort located in Mijas with 3 golf courses and a luxury spa hotel owned by the international group whose central branch is in Ireland, FBD Property & Leisure Ltd., have signed a new joint venture agreement which, initially, will allow them to continue developing a new project with 55 luxury town houses right on the golf course destined to the international public, with an estimated investment of over twelve million euros.

At the end of 2014, Taylor Wimpey and La Cala Resort commenced their first experience with the commencement of the development of the Miraval complex, 60 luxury apartments with golf and sea views. After 12 months of activity, more than 80% of the complex has sold and the construction has accelerated in order to hand over all the properties to their owners throughout 2016.

Due to the great interest generated by foreign clients, both companies have decided to go one step further and extend their link on a long term basis, starting with the construction of 55 town houses in January 2016.

This association consolidates La Cala Resort as a referent in the Costa de Sol, not only as a favourite destiny by golfers but also as one of the most attractive areas from an international tourist residential view. The beauty of its three 18-hole golf courses, and its exclusive four star hotel and Spa in addition to its recreational, sports facilities and its excellent location at less than thirty minutes by car from Málaga Airport, are great attractions to capture the growing European demand for second home properties on the Costa del Sol.
